Four toy trends in autumn’s new launches
This autumn’s exciting toy launches reflect everything from children’s digital lives and story-driven fantasy worlds to humour and classic role play. The line-up includes toys that inspire children to create their own videos, solve mysteries, laugh – and even run their very own ice cream parlour at home.
Interactive fantasy worlds invite children to explore
Storytelling and interactivity feature strongly among this autumn’s new launches. Spell Seekers transports children to a magical world where a talking spell book responds to the movements of a magic wand and guides the play experience. Children can solve riddles, explore new areas and make magical potions as new challenges and secrets are revealed step by step. The ultimate goal is to solve the spell book’s final mystery.

Spell Seekers works in four Nordic languages: Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. EAN 5020674120861. Recommended age: 8+. Available in October.
The ASMR trend makes its way into toys
ASMR content has become a familiar part of social media, and now the phenomenon is also making its way into children’s toys. ASMR Studio invites children to experiment with different sounds, materials and textures and create their own ASMR videos inspired by their favourite content creators. Creativity, sensory experiences and video creation come together in a play experience that brings familiar elements from social media into play.
The set includes a phone stand that amplifies sounds, modelling tools, slime, foam and a variety of materials and decorations. The included sample folder features eight different materials that encourage children to experiment with and combine different sounds and textures.

Humour toys remain a firm favourite
Technology and new trends bring new possibilities to play, but one perennial favourite remains: humour. Butt Face Chester Cheeks is a dancing, music-playing character that responds to squeezing with different sounds and movements. And fart humour certainly hasn’t been forgotten. Unexpected reactions, dancing and outrageous humour make Chester Cheeks a standout among this autumn’s toy launches.

Classic role play remains strong
Not all of this autumn’s exciting new toys need technology. Classic role play remains a firm favourite with children, and one example this autumn is the Casdon Ice Cream Parlour. With more than 35 pieces, the playset lets children set up their very own ice cream parlour at home. It includes ice cream scoops, sauces, cones, sprinkles, a cash drawer and play money. Children can create their own ice cream treats, serve customers and step into the role of an ice cream parlour owner.

New trends and classic play side by side
This autumn’s launches show just how many different worlds inspire play today. Social media trends, interactivity and storytelling are finding their way into play, while imagination, humour and traditional role play continue to thrive alongside them.
The way we play evolves – the joy of play remains.
